We live in a world in which change is the only constant. Successful organizations are those who are capable of responding and adapting to changes quickly and efficiently. To accomplish this, organizations must adopt the Agile work format. The Agile approach is helpful in creating a framework in which the entire organization is focused on achieving the same business objectives. The organization may begin by transitioning to agile development and then expand to other units and departments in the organization.

An organization’s agility is a combination of several organizational layers and it dictates a new organizational culture that promotes:

Interaction between individuals.
Fast generation of value.
Customer-centric collaboration.
Flexibility and adaptability to change.

The process includes the following steps:

Management consolidation – presenting the principles and benefits of agility, drafting agile processes tailored to the organization’s culture and goals, mapping current processes and identifying the level of agility (maturity model of the organization currently in place).
Determination and adjustment of supporting work processes – choosing work processes for implementation within the framework of the transition to an agile work format, development of detailed specifications for processes and other factors at every step of the process, presentation of the consolidated processes to all employees, scheduling implementation, and defining success and control metrics.
Gradual transition to Product Management – selecting a focus business aspect or several products for preliminary execution, appointing product managers for each product, setting goals and launching the pilot program, drawing conclusions and generating insights, implementing adjustments and expanding into additional areas.
Managing the change and the implementation – managing the change at various stages of its implementation.
